There is a chic yet warm feeling when you enter Il Barilotto. Housed in an 1800’s brick carriage house,
it has seen many faces in the past. From Pharmacy to Pizzeria, Il Barilotto has housed a cluster of
establishments over the years. In 2000 Eduardo Lauria set out to open up Il Barilotto while preserving
much of the original beauty of the building and that indeed he did. Exposed brick walls line the restaurant
and dark Honduran Mahogany tables and bar bring a comfortable feeling to the space.
Antique bistro posters line the walls spaced between wrought iron sconces. Standing center stage is
the impressive granite bar that towers above with mahogany moldings, proudly showing off its wine and
glassware. The restaurant continues around the corner where a series of more tables can be found by our
secondary wine cabinet lit up with candles in the evening. All tables at Il Barilotto are designed romantically
for two but many can accommodate four or more.
